Poly Changda integrates its fine traditions with its own business, and develops a spirit with characteristics of the times. In the 1990s, Poly Changda tried its utmost to build the Humen Pearl River Bridge, creating the design codes and standards for the construction of long-span bridges in China. In the 21st century, Poly Changda successfully completed the overall hoisting of the “dolphin-shaped” steel tower of the Hong Kong-Zhuhai-Macao Bridge, which has a height of 106 meters and a weight of more than 3,100 tons. Now, Lingdingyang Bridge, the world’s highest sea bridge and largest sea suspension bridge, has its sections successfully connected... These almost impossible tasks have been realized with the efforts of Poly Changda.
Strive for innovation
Craftsmanship spirit empowers Poly Changda
Poly Changda insists on putting innovation at the core of its overall development, and specially sets up a technology research and development center to promote development with innovation and lead scientific and technological research. After thousands of optimization tests, the steel deck pavement team of Hong Kong-Zhuhai-Macao Bridge put forward a brand-new evaluation standard and method of GMA mixture. The production time of a single batch of GMA pouring asphalt mixture was shortened from 6 hours in 2 stages to 3 hours in 1 stage, which made super-large-scale pouring pavement a reality. Facing the technical characteristics and construction difficulties of the immersed tunnel of Shenzhen-Zhongshan Bridge, such as being ultra-wide, super-large and deep in the sea, Poly Changda’s construction team independently developed intelligent pouring software system and large-scale intelligent pouring trolley, thus realizing intelligent concrete pouring for the first time. The prefabrication period of each pipe joint was shortened from 67 days to 29 days, and the errors of pipe joint connecting were controlled at mm level, constantly breaking the construction records of large-scale immersed tunnel.

Poly Changda is accumulating power to embark on the journey
Being steady is the requisite for long-term development. The strong strength of the main business has opened up many development opportunities for Poly Changda. Its business has been expanded to cover the upstream and downstream high-value business of the industrial chain, and cover port, shipping, municipal projects, housing construction, offshore wind power and airport construction, thus creating a business pattern of “inclusive engineering”. In the past three years, 75 billion yuan of investment and construction projects were newly signed, among which the value of airport and municipal projects exceeded 7 billion yuan. On June 5, 2022, Fuyao turbine, the far-reaching offshore floating wind power facility built by Poly Changda, was placed in Qiongzhou Strait of the South China Sea. This set a precedent for the construction of far-reaching offshore floating wind power facility in China, enhanced China’s far-reaching offshore floating wind power capacity, and contributed to the national strategic goal of “carbon peaking and carbon neutrality”.
At present, Poly Changda has been operating in 20 provinces aside from Guangdong Province, and in 16 countries and regions outside China. When the epidemic raged, employees of Poly Changda undertook the Rosso Bridge project in Rosso region at the border between Mauritania and Senegal, building a major transportation route for the two countries to realize economic cooperation and infrastructure construction.
